Samal Island–Davao City Connector bridge is 61% complete
DPWH reported the 4.76 km toll-free bridge at 61% completion as of June 2026, with the completion target moved from August 2027 to September 2028 (and a possible extension to 2030 flagged over funding). Once open, the Davao–Samal crossing drops from a 30–50 minute ferry to about five minutes.
